The Rat Kingdom of Attica

On June 20, 2007, in Miscellaneous, by Henshaw

King TiberiusThe reign of Caligula the rat was a prosperous one. Every night it was like a roman orgy in the land of Attica. As his empire grew so did his ambition and his recklessness. Undaunted by the trap wasteland named Trapgonda that bordered his expansive universe, Caligula attacked the trap that held the delicious peanut butter hostage. Like the doomed forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden Caligula met his end in the dreaded land of Trapgonda. Despite the vicious nature of the traps Caligula fought valiantly. It took two traps to finally put an end to the reign of Caligula; however, his line did not end on that day.

From a distance Caligula’s son Tiberius watched the failed attack on Trapgonda. That day Tiberius swore to avenge his father’s death. Tiberius sent envoys out to distant rat kingdoms to unite under the standard of Caligula, but no response came. No rat king was foolish enough to confront Trapgonda in open warfare. Thus, Tiberius attacked alone, the last rat of a once proud kingdom. Not much can be told of that day. There were no witnesses when it happened. There are tales of the sound against the horizon as Tiberius fought to his last breath. With his death so ended the line of Caligula and the five generations of rat rule over the land of Attica. Time passed and the ancestors of Caligula were forgotten by the time the whispers of a new king came to Attica.

It is told that during the reign of Caligula his arrogance and ambition angered the Landlords of that age. These Landlord gods were opposed to the wickedness of the land of Attica. Hence one of the Landlord’s minions named Roofer came and closed the land of Attica to the outside world. The Landlords pledged that no rat would ever again enter into the kingdom of Attica. This is why no response came from Tiberius’ envoy. Despite the will of the Landlords, one rat was able to find the hidden kingdom of Attica.

Titus was quiet and deliberate. He was drawn to the mythical land of Attica by the stories and myths of the past. Titus was a strong and courageous rat, known for his bravery and ability to fit through narrow corridors. Determined to find the missing kingdom Titus found at long last the hidden path to Attica. While Caligula’s line was vanquished against the steel of Trapgonda, Roofer could not cover every hole from the once proud rat empire. Two long ages (two weeks) had passed since the end of Caligula and Titus arrived to start dominion over Attica. Upon arriving Titus discovered the terror to the south. Trapgonda loomed large on the horizon; with its steel glistening against the lure of peanut butter. The legends of the past became crystal clear and Titus knew his destiny and doom were tied to the rat wasteland of Trapgonda.
