Plunging Towards Gomorrah
guantánamo bay meets geneva convention
It’s sure a good thing that Bush is gone so Obama can close that evil torture facility in Cuba. Everyone knows that Guantánamo Bay is what made us lose favor with the rest of the world. Wait… you mean that the facility meets the Geneva Conventions? That means that all these crazy liberals were wrong again? Totally shocking.…
A Pentagon report requested by President Obama on the conditions at the Guantánamo Bay detention center concluded that the prison complies with the humane-treatment requirements of the Geneva Conventions. But it makes recommendations for improvements including increasing human contact for the prisoners, according to two government officials who have read parts of it.
For the New York Times and liberals this is bad news. The narrative they’ve enjoyed the past six years is more important to them than the actual truth. This sheds light on how ridiculous it was for Obama to sign an executive order about a topic he knew nothing about. It also explains why the executive order delayed an actual decision. Hot Air has more.

Let Me Be Clear: A Brief History of Barack Obama
about 20 hours ago - No comments
Barack Obama is arguably the most enigmatic president in the history of the United States, right behind William Henry Harrison. I think I know what’s going on with Mr. Obama, but apparently a majority of my fellow citizens don’t. In a recent and now-infamous poll, 61 percent of Americans either don’t know Mr. Obama’s religious

ObamaCare: It seems like years ago when the Democrats passed one of the worst pieces of legislation in American history. Thanks to the evil Democrats the American taxpayer will be funding abortions. Remember when Stupak famously caved thanks to an Obama executive order? The pro-death left dismissed pro-life fears as paranoia. However, we should know

As we move closer to November expect the Left’s sophomoric attacks on the Tea Party to continue. It appears that the Tea Party will be the whipping boy for liberals too stupid to understand it’s their policies that are the problem, not the homophobic and racist Tea Party. Take, for example, this recent op-ed in the New
Democrats “Want You” to Pay for Abortion

For those scoring at home if ObamaCare doesn’t pass it’s because the Democrats in Washington insisted on making taxpayers pay for abortion. That’s right. There’s not one good thing you can say about a party committed to making taxpayers pay for the most divisive issue in the nation since slavery. The party of “choice” doesn’t

Win or lose the President has lost face during the health care debate. In a year of economic woe the President has been on a crusade to strengthen the grip of government on the citizens through a health care takeover. With an approving nod he has sat and watched his party make backroom deals and
Al Gore Has Become Irelevent

It was only a matter of time before Al Gore climbed out of his hole. Gore has an op-ed today in the New York Times and he’s still beating the dead horse he’s been riding for decades. The Vice President who cried wolf has been warning us for decades about global warming. Nothing alarming has

The Obama administration has been a godsend for unions. The Economist has an article about unions that sheds light on the type of job creation Obama intends to inflict on the nation. Obama and his socialist union allies would like to create 4 million union jobs. Why not? More union members equals more democrat voters?

It appears that the White House is ready to double down on dumb. While President Obama wants any kind of health care bill to sign I’m not sure he has the votes. 18 Democrats in the Senate are on the record saying they’re opposed to reconciliation, but politicians hardly ever keep their word. The big

I’m sad that I even have to waste time on this topic. A few weeks ago the Supreme Court struck down a provision of the McCain-Feingold Act that violates the First Amendment of the Constitution. While the story has been the outrage from the left and independents about the ruling (thanks in part to the
The Cost of Goverment

Government work is good if you can get it. Carpe Diem has a nice looking graph that shows that government employees makes 45% more on average than private sector employees. As I was saying a few days ago. There’s a lot of fat in government than can be cut but no one in Washington is
