Plunging Towards Gomorrah
ted rall goes off the reservation
It’s not easy being president. I guess that’s bit of an understatement, but I read this crazy article earlier this week and couldn’t’ believe my eyes. Ted Rall is a liberal cartoonist and has a history of making bold statements. On Tuesday Rall wrote an op-ed titled Mr. Obama: Resign Now. President Obama hasn’t even been in office for five months and the natives are already getting restless.
We expected broken promises. But the gap between the soaring expectations that accompanied Barack Obama’s inauguration and his wretched performance is the broadest such chasm in recent historical memory. This guy makes Bill Clinton look like a paragon of integrity and follow-through.
That’s just the first paragraph! From the beginning I thought one of the weaknesses of Obama’s campaign was the soaring nothingness it represented. The president spoke boldly about nothing. For many progressives they projected their hopes and dreams into Obama’s hope and change rhetoric. Rall goes on…
Obama is cute. He is charming. But there is something rotten inside him. Unlike the Republicans who backed Bush, I won’t follow a terrible leader just because I voted for him. Obama has revealed himself. He is a monster, and he should remove himself from power.
I have to admit there’s something refreshingly honest about this statement. Bush took a beating from the left for eight years; it was non-stop from day one. Obama has embraced many of Bush’s polices in regards to foreign policy and national security; all under the guise of empty speeches promising change. As far as there being something “rotten inside” of Obama; that’s a bit of a stretch. The president is a politician; a great politician. Great politicians are good at saying one thing and doing another. For the left this could be a difficult pill to swallow.

Who’s Really Filled with Hate?

What is so dangerous about Glenn Beck? He’s not my cup of tea, but is he mean spirited like Keith Olbermann? No, not really. It’s fascinating how Beck’s event in DC is being covered and the reaction to it by the Left. I say “fascinating” because I recall the Million Man March, which is still to

The left pulled together every ounce of its faux outrage when it learned that Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp. contributed $1 million to the Republican Governors Association. I wonder how they feel about the fact that 88 percent of 2008 contributions by TV network execs, writers and reporters went to Obama and Democrats? The Democratic total of $1,020,816 was

ObamaCare: It seems like years ago when the Democrats passed one of the worst pieces of legislation in American history. Thanks to the evil Democrats the American taxpayer will be funding abortions. Remember when Stupak famously caved thanks to an Obama executive order? The pro-death left dismissed pro-life fears as paranoia. However, we should know
Democratic Leadership: So Much Fail

The big news today is the Rolling Stone article about General McChrystal. I don’t really have much to add about that situation. I think Jonah Goldberg’s take on the whole thing seems the most reasonable. Anyway, I’m not writing about that story. The real story for me today is that fact that the Democrat-led Congress

As we move closer to November expect the Left’s sophomoric attacks on the Tea Party to continue. It appears that the Tea Party will be the whipping boy for liberals too stupid to understand it’s their policies that are the problem, not the homophobic and racist Tea Party. Take, for example, this recent op-ed in the New
Do Progressives Really Care About the Economy?

I have to admit I’m growing a little weary of politics. Perhaps it’s the Arizona controversy and the left’s ability to ignore logic and its apparent inability to read. It seems our population is fine with being ignorant. It’s easier to be angry and upset with Arizona than to actually realize that its law not only mirrors
Boulder’s Dry Totalitarianism

It’s time to add Boulder, Colorado to the list of city governments that would rather ignore the law than enforce it. Boulder joins San Francisco in banning all city-sponsored travel to the state of Arizona. I can’t remember another issue where the Left has been so woefully ignorant. The Arizona law reinforces a law that Franklin
November Elections Loom Large

It’s only a few months until November and it’s not likely that any kind of economic rebound is going to save the Democrats in the Fall. The American public’s view of ObamaCare hasn’t gotten better (worse, if anything) and the Democrats do not have anything popular to offer. In fact, the two major pieces of
More from the “Tolerant Left”

I caught this over on The Corner this morning, and it’s just another in an unending stream of examples from the deranged and “tolerant” left. Is it possible that tolerance is a circle where the more “tolerant” you are the more intolerant you become? I don’t know, but there are many more images of “tolerance” over at

The amount of media attention about the “unhinged” tea party movement is ridiculous. At the very heart of this smear campaign is the Left’s intolerance. What else can explain their faux outrage about “alleged” incidents? Democrats act like the world began on January 20, 2009. Here’s a great video that talks about the absolute insanity of
