obama receives boos at all star game
President Obama continued his run for president in 2012 by throwing the first pitch at the All Star game tonight. He received a mixture of cheers and boos; about what you would expect from a red state and from a country in which the President’s approval rating is around 50 percent.
I’m not surprised, but the left doesn’t know that “The One” isn’t exactly the king of popularity.
From Twitter:
mattandkiwi: Who are the assholes who booed President Obama during the first pitch of the All Star Game?!?
publius2k: Everybody who just booed President Obama at the All-Star Game can go jump in the bay.
sergiotovar: I love Barack Obama! (And hate those who randomly booed him)
Henshaw
Henshaw is a libertarian idealist. He was homeschooled until college and surprisingly enough he didn’t turn into a social outcast. A self-proclaimed “information sponge” Henshaw is full of little facts and figures most people find boring and absurd. He’s from the tiny little town of Statesville, North Carolina. Henshaw currently resides in the perpetual sun of beautiful Sarasota, Florida.
No one complained when Obama’s fans boo’d Bush at Obama’s inauguration.
Twitter huh? I didn’t know the voice of the left could be captured by random tweets.
Every time his popularity goes down a point it’s all over CNN and Fox (TV and Web Sites). It just doesn’t hit the nerve like it does with Americans just yet because he’s still around 60% vs Bush hovering around 29%.
I don’t know what you mean about his popularity drop being all over the news; however, he’s not around 60% (maybe in the pointless Gallup poll). At the this point in history (and over the last 10 years) Rasmussen has been the poll of record and Obama is hovering around 52%. That’s about where Bush was after being inaugurated in 2005.
Obama’s rating will never get close to Bush’s low numbers. Democrats will never abandon the president (Clinton). Conservatives are more prone to throw their guy under the bus (Bush). However, if the economy doesn’t turn around and Obama’s numbers fall into the 40s he could get swept out of office like Carter (and the left would have no idea what happened).
