in search of: swine flu
Remember the panic about H1N1, a.k.a., the Swine Flu, just a few short months ago? The news was everywhere. The average American couldn’t escape the coverage. Now we’re in the middle of winter and it’s business as usual. In fact, so far this has been one of the coldest winters in decades. Sarasota just had its coldest night since 1989. I guess the Polar Bears are going to be safe this year. So who is the media going to blame for their sensational coverage of H1N1? It has to be someone or something the public really despises.
Let’s see, President Bush is out of the White House now so we can’t blame the government. What about the pharmaceutical companies? They’re wildly perceived as evil. These profit hounds develop life saving drugs that cost millions to produce and then actually want to have a return on investment.
The World Health Organization is to examine its handling of the H1N1 pandemic, the group said on Tuesday, after accusations by some politicians that it exaggerated the dangers of the virus under pressure from drug companies.
Who knew that politicians were so easy to boss around? I guess this explains the madness behind the theory of global warming. In the case of climate change the evil corporations are “big oil.” There’s a common socialist template for all these issue. The laborer is being exploited by some corporation. That concept doesn’t really work in the 21st century, so now the corporation is indirectly exploiting the work force by exaggerating outbreaks and ruining the climate. One should wonder why the socialist isn’t concerned about the government spending the state into bankruptcy. Bankruptcy would be a serious risk to civilization. I guess socialism has never been a very logical frame of mind.

Henshaw is a libertarian idealist. He was homeschooled until college and surprisingly enough he didn’t turn into a social outcast. A self-proclaimed “information sponge” Henshaw is full of little facts and figures most people find boring and absurd. He’s from the tiny little town of Statesville, North Carolina. Henshaw currently resides in the perpetual sun of beautiful Sarasota, Florida.
