In January 2011 there was much outrage from the left about civility in politics. It was heartwarming nonsense. At first liberals tried to blame the tragic shooting of Gabrielle Giffords on conservative rhetoric (some are still trying) and when that proved not to be the case the President gave a speech about a “new tone.” Obviously it’s a load of rubbish. The White House didn’t change and politicians are as nasty as ever.
Nowhere is the national garbage dialogue more prevalent than on Twitter. I’m constantly amazed at what people are willing to say on Twitter. I usually avoid these type of people, but from time to time Andrew Breitbart retweets some of the more nasty things people have to say. Here’s one particularly deranged tweet by woman in Virgina. Warning, the language is extremely distasteful.
Now, moronic tweets like this are a dime a dozen. With Rick Santorum surging in the polls a lot of the God hating liberals are flipping out. Little do they realize that his political philosophy when it comes to liberty is much more in line with Barack Obama than it is with Ronald Reagan. How do you distinguish between two statists?
