The amount of Medicare/Medicaid fraud in the United States is staggering. Politicians like to talk about “reducing waste” and making government programs “more efficient.” They never say how they’re going to do it, but it can’t be done. Order cannot come from chaos, and these vast bureaucracies are just too big to manage efficiently.
Citizen journalist James O’Keefe is at it again. He’s doing the job that the leftist-sympathizing press is unwilling to do. The video below is hilarious and also another fine example of how entitlements are ripe for fraud.
I’ve only written briefly about South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford here at The Daily Plunge. Frankly I don’t know that much about the politician other than his stand against the federal stimulus bill. Last week Sanford admitted to having an affair and leaving his state abruptly to go to Argentina. It’s no surprise the story will not go way. Sanford hasn’t stepped down and as juicy details continue to leak out the story will remain in the press. If Sanford is really serious about repairing things with his family he needs to resign immediately.
That’s not even addressing the fact he left the state without notice or without telling anyone where he was going. That kind of erratic behavior isn’t acceptable for a chief executive of a grocery store, let alone a governor of a state. There’s a lot of debate about whether or not we should tolerate politicians who engage in affairs, but I won’t go down that road. What I can’t tolerate are politicians who claim to be sincerely sorry and then drag their families through the mud in order to salvage their position of power. It’s time for a new leader for the people of South Carolina.

Not content just to bow down to King Obama the press misses no opportunity to bash Republicans who dare to take a any kind of stand against the federal government. Such is the fate of South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford. Jill Lawrence is the author of the headline hit piece Heartlessness Won’t Help Republicans Win the White House. Oh really; neither will endorsing racism or punching babies in the face.
Simply being against the porkulus bill doesn’t make one “heartless;” however, writing a hit piece article on a Republican governor and citing “empathy” is truly brainless. There’s nothing about this article that is objective or even analytical. To Lawrence, simply “doing something,” even if it’s a terrible waste of money is better than fiscal responsibilty.
If Lawrence really wants to educate Americans why not write an article about North Carolina’s former governor Mike Easley? I guess Democrat governors who are corrupt aren’t worth covering.
